Almost equally as weird as seeing Hermione crack a little was the fact that they were sort of thinking the same things. Harry had been an icon and a symbol of hope for her, and even when she was annoyed with frumpy Hermione it was only ever really because of how smart she was and how she never really had to try. But to realize they had things in common? Well, it made a bit more human - only Lavender wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad thing.
