Even without a name, Eli was trying to put the pieces together based on his best assumptions - muggleborn, Hufflepuff, probably not too much older or younger than him. It wasn't really the most pressing thing on hand, but he could follow many threads of thought at once. If anything it worked better that way.
Except he didn't like that - the lack of a pattern with the muggles involved. Even if it was a small sample lacking full details, he would have liked for it to be a bit more obvious. He would really like to get his hands on one of the muggles who were inflicted, compare to to the wizards. Eli could learn something there.
"There are a number of people inflicted with this issue," he aid flipping through the book to search for the chapter. "Why not leave it to the authorities to solve? Or even to protect the muggles? They did seek out wizards and witches involved."
