Dearest Astoria, I am sad to inform you that my mother, Cecelia, has passed away. She did not survive through the encounter with the Kissed, or at least she was found among the bodies in Hogsmeade - but it is still uncertain whether she was killed as a result of them. If you would, could you inform your family that Benjamin and I will be arranging services and we will let you know as soon as possible when everything is set. I apologise for the ill news at such a late hour. I do have another reason for contacting you, however, and I had been meaning to do so earlier but with the attacks time was taken away from me. I will be returning to work very soon and I was wondering if you would like to meet with me sometime soon to discuss how things are going for you at work. Possibly tomorrow at some point? Also I am not certain if we are still going to have the dinner right now given the circumstances but I will let you know as soon as possible. Fondly, Samara Chambers
