Ron nodded. "It's okay," he replied because right then it was. He couldn't remember it, thanks to having the memory in the pensieve. He couldn't lie and say that it wasn't a bit of a relief. Not having the memory in his head took a weight off his shoulders. He knew he was missing a murder because he had the memory of telling Gaskin about it afterward, but taking out the actual scene of the crime still seemed to be a cleansing experience. He needed that information though, so he knew it wouldn't last long. "It could have been worse for me and couldn't have been any worse for Penelope, I don't think."
He couldn't remember all the particulars for Penelope's murder just then, but he had told Gaskin about it so he could think of some things as though it had been someone else telling him about the experience. It was a really strange feeling, having one of your memories missing from your head, especially when you knew it was gone. "Do you think that you can get anything clear from it?" he asked Dean, remembering why they were there.
