Pleased that at least he hadn't been too presumptuous and she wouldn't mind if he played for her, Jasper followed Bianca the short distance into her room. He listened to her explain why the rooms were arranged as they were, and while he could tell she was maybe a little embarrassed by it, Jasper only nodded. "It makes sense. Sometimes I wish I had a smaller place like this instead of a house with too many rooms for one person." Jasper flushed, realizing that probably made him sound incredibly pretentious.
He said as much as he settled into a well-cushioned chair near the foot of Bianca's bed. "You have a lovely place," he blurted, hoping to ease both of their obvious discomfort. "Tea would be nice, yes." Since he was awake now, he wasn't in any hurry to attempt sleep again. And he doubted she was either, if her vision has upset her enough to ring him.
