The DMLE could investigate until such time as it is discovered what caused it and then, if needed, turn it over to the proper department. If it was a magical accident that caused it, then yes, the DMAC. If it was a dangerous wizard or witch, then that would have to remain with us here.

The public is scared and that means they will turn to this department. Better to at least attempt to mention it, before it runs rampant and the Ministry is accused of ignoring it. For all we know Gaskin himself had a nightmare and would like this looked into. I think it's in everyone's best interest to make sure this gets looked into sooner rather than later.

All I request is someone bring it to attention, so that it's investigated, by whomever is appropriate. If it's decided it's not worth investigating on the record, I'll continue to do so off of it. But I'd prefer to be able to use DMLE resources legitimately, or have someone else I trust to get the job done do so.
