Entry tags:!status: complete, ^date: november 10 2003, character: alicia spinnet, character: george weasley

Who: Alicia Spinnet and George Weasley
What: Date!
Where: Ciao Trattoria
When: November 10, 6PM
Rating: Should be worksafe at the beginning, potentially not so much so later on

George was actually nervous as he was getting ready for the date. He'd skipped out during his lunch break to make reservations at the nicest restaurant on Diagon Alley, which had been a little complicated, because really they prefered you made appointments a few weeks out, but George had it on good authority that if you greased the correct palms, you could get in. Which, thankfully, had worked, because otherwise he'd need a plan B. So now he was getting dressed and preparing to apparate to Alicia's flat to get her. He really wanted everything to go perfectly, he didn't want to blow his chance with her.

Once he was ready, he left his flat, locked up the shop, and stopped at a flower shop close by to grab a bouquet before apparating and appearing at her front door. He took one deep breath before knocking confidently on the door and waiting for her to respond.

She smiled at how George's words sounded like he planned on her coming over more often. She would ask about it, even jokingly, except she didn't want to ruin the moment with stupid questions. This was nice, and they'd both said themselves that they were looking for more than a one-nighter. Such things were best taken day by day.

She did, however, appreciate the feel of his arms around her again, and took a moment to amaze at the fact that this was George, of all people. He was the same, yet different, from how she'd known him back in school. There was a maturity that hadn't been there before that made him quite appealing.

"Night, Georgie Porgie," she finally said, feeling Gidget relaxing against her beneath the blanket.

George did plan on her coming over more often, though he hadn't really realized it until he said it. But he'd been completely honest earlier when he'd said he wasn't looking for a one night stand. He liked Ally, more than he'd realized, he didn't want her going anywhere, and he was willing to do what he had to to make sure that didn't happen. But like her, he wasn't going to say anything now about that, though his tired brain was already thinking of what a good follow up date would be.

George hadn't seen much of Ally since the end of school, but needless to say he hadn't had much of a choice but to grow up more than he'd like after the war. Everyone had, George was lucky enough to have a job that allowed him to at least pretend to be his old, immature self, but behind the scenes, he was much a different person.

"Night Als," he whispered in her ear. He wouldn't be surprised if Gidget had already fallen asleep, he had a knack of conking out as soon as he laid down. He was still a little stunned that she was in his bed, but he was more glad than anything, and found that falling asleep was easier with her there. It wasn't long before he was out as well.
