Gidget was well behaved to say the least, except for the staying off the bed part. He usually waited until George was asleep before getting up on the bed, but George woke up every morning with the dog curled up against his back or his chest. He woke up once after almost choking when Gidget decided lying against his face was a fun idea. He usually didn't care though, Gidget seemed to understand it was his job to look after George. He wondered if his mother had somehow instilled that in the dog on one of her early visits after getting him. He really wouldn't be surprised.
George propped himself up on his elbo to look over Ally as she pulled the dog under the blanket. "You know, you let him think it's ok to break the rules when you're here, and he's going to just throw them out the window everytime you're here from now on." He was teasing, and leaned over to kiss her when she looked back at him before reaching over to stratch the mutt behind the ears before he laid back down again, pully Ally close once more.
