He noticed the large gulp of wine, but was none the wiser as to what had caused it. He was taking a sip of his own wine when she made her next comment, and he actually choked on it a little, coughed, then laughed. "So no pressure then, that's what you're really saying, right?" He lifted his napkin to his mouth and smiled.
He did finally start in on his own dinner once it had cooled down from lava to just burning. It was delicious, but he stayed focused on her and what she was saying. "Do you at least have a comfortable sofa? Because if so, again, I don't see Katie complaining about that. Even if it wasn't comfortable."
He laughed. "Really? You do know who my mother is, right? She did a pretty good job making sure none of us would starve once we got out on our own. Of course, some of us learned the lessons better than others. Let's just say I don't think I'll be quick to try any of Ron or Percy's cooking, but I was a bit more of a studious student. Actually, knowing how to cook helps out with some of the things I've made for the shop, believe it or not."
