He was glad she didn't let go of his hand when the waiter came back, even though he eventually had to let go so they could both eat, but then she started rubbing her foot against his leg, so he was less upset about it really. He was really kind of surprised they were here, in this particular moment, he wouldn't have guessed even a few days ago he'd manage to get her out on a date, but he wasn't complaining at all.
