She took his hand as she stood up. "Actually, I should head over to the bakery now." Her uncle had probably been there for about an hour, working on the doughs. Lavender had thought being at work by half four was difficult enough, she couldn't imagine anything earlier than that.
"But you should stay, sleep, help yourself to whatever is in the kitchen when you wake up." She figured the least that she owed him was a few hours of actual sleep and something of a decent meal in the morning. After all, she did know something about baking.
