weasley_now ([info]weasley_now) wrote in [info]pandorarpg,
Hermione's dream had begun normal enough. She was poring over a new case load when her boss had suddenly come in demanding that she stop and look over a new case file. He'd lectured her about the recklessness that had led her to miss several minor details that were causing them to have to revisit a case that had previously been deemed close. When she'd opened the new file it was full of picture after picture of her murdered parents.

As she researched, Hermione could only reference her own dream. She sighed as she jotted down the things that she thought were of some merit. She scribbled down the following words from the text: When these types of dream are connected with deep traumatic waking events, such as abuse, war, death, etc. the evolution of the dream into a more positive form may understandably take longer and require more waking attention and focus. She paused and looked them over. Truth be told just about everyone she knew fit this explanation. According to this each of them needed to continue to revisit the contents of these dreams until they were able to understand the meaning behind them. Hermione knew in her gut that she was not looking for a meaning, she needed to find a cause.

She was in the middle of reading the next page when a voice interrupted the flow of words in her mind. "I have a few more chapters," she turned to the front and scanned the page for the titles of the last two chapters. They were things she really needed to look over but she wasn't sure if she wanted this person lingering about waiting for the text.

Then a brilliant idea hit her, why not interview this lady about her night. Of course, it was highly unlikely that she would open up about her terror to a stranger, but it was always worth a try. Of course, Hermione wasn't in the habit of sharing her research with just anyone so she had to carefully determine how to word her inquiry. "Dream interpretation seems to be on the mind of quite a few people today," she began, her hand resting on another book that she'd yet to begin. "Any interest in particular today?"
