Ron's message is scribbled on the bottom of the parchment Dean sent. His handwriting, though always a bit messy, is particularly difficult to read and there are stains on the parchment from some sort of liquid being spilled on it.

Yeah mate, that's because I didn't go. So what is like me, Dean? How should I be "holding up" now that Harry is dead gone dead? It's not my bloody job to coddle everyone else. He was is was my sodding best mate, not theirs. Thanks for checking in.

You didn't go? Sorry mate. I know. It isn't your job to coddle anyone. Harry meant something to a lot of people, but nothing like what he meant to his closest friends. I'm just worried about you, and Ginny and Hermione too.

Right. I'm sure everyone knows how difficult this is for me and Ginny and Hermione. I don't need your worry, Dean. Worrying about me isn't going to make Harry come back to life, so what's the bloody point?

Everyone likes to say they do. I sincerely doubt anyone really knows. The best they can do is say they've been through something similar. That doesn't mean thy know how you feel, or hell, can even begin to understand it. I'm not chiding you for not being there. I'm checking to see how you are. You're my mate, Ron.

Tomorrow afternoon then. I'll come by and we can drop by someplace, not the Leaky. I expect there'll be too many people we know about there and I should think we'd both prefer a bit of privacy.
