Adrian looked up when Lavender returned and stood when she approached, sitting down as she did. "To be honest, no I did not. I didn't much expect to have time to have a sit down lunch at all, but I didn't want to be rude." He'd simply ordered a sandwich and the coffee. It would be enough to get him by the rest of the day. "But I've gotten accustomed to family insisting things of this nature. It's a bit refreshing to see I'm not alone in that."
He went for his sandwich, pleased to find the bread slightly warm and very tasty. He actually liked the bread better than the meats and cheese between it. Fresh-baked indeed. He might have to return here if only for the baked goods.
