On a more normal day Lavender totally would have made a quip about looking absolutely fabulous in a pair of heels as she literally got to dance around the kitchen in the early hours of the morning. Instead she just allowed herself a small smile at the thought. "Well, that's me, full of surprises."
Adrian might hadn't caught Kyle's attention, but at that moment her aunt came out from the back tying her apron around her waste. "Lavender, aren't you off work now?" She glanced over at her name being called. Merete continued, a smile growing on her face and Lavender knew that look. It meddling was about to happen - although usually with the best intent. "Why don't I pull together something for you and your friend here and you can actually eat a proper lunch?"
This time was no different. And really far less subtle than what she was used to. A bit surprised by the offer she glanced over at Adrian as if to apologize for imposing, when if anything she was the one straddling an uncomfortable position.
