"It's not imposing," Theodore said, again trying to be at least somewhat polite. He actually didn't mind her too much, and actually did enjoy her presence. He wasn't sure exactly what it was or why he did what he did in the past, but it was probably for the better. Perhaps it was that he found it difficult to deal with having someone who asked too many questions and seemed far more concerned about him than he felt comfortable with.
"I'm not waiting for anyone nor do I have plans to go anywhere. I won't assume the same is for you, but if that is the case the invitation stands."
