Certainly at least as much as you," Melinda pointed out, a little miffed that he seemed to think her so stuffy that she wouldn't enjoy the simple things in life. She made up her mind then and there to visit the Honeypot before the week was out.

The question about her family threw Melinda off for a second, but she recovered quickly with an elegant shrug. "They're well. Business is good, so that makes them happy enough." Of course, they'd be happier if she was married, or at the very least engaged, but she wasn't about to share that with Theodore.
