"Sure," Hermione absently responded. She didn't make any move to hand her cup to Percy. She only agreed because she thought feeling useful might help with his grief. She had read somewhere that some people had to keep busy when faced with extreme grief. If anyone other than Harry (or Merlin forbid Ron) had died, Hermione would have likely pushed into her own work. The problem was that her current work was an assignment given to her by Harry.
Even though she had said she would take food, Hermione wasn't sure she could keep anything down, food or drink wise. She remembered when her maternal grandmother had died. Everyone brought food regardless of whether it was needed or not. She could only imagine if the wizarding world tried to send food how quickly they would be buried beneath the mounds.
