This was it. Bellatrix watched as the green light neared her, her breath coming out in short pants. She couldn't move thanks to the full-body bind curse that the blood traitor had tossed at her only moments before. She couldn't believe that she was going to die at the hands of a blood traitor, and her blood boiled in anger at the very thought.
She would die with dignity, she would die for her cause.
She waited on the bite of the curse to come, unable to move, unable to take her eyes off the ceiling. She was thrown back, landing with a grunt against the cold marble floor and her eyes shut on their own accord. Death felt differently than she thought that it would. Slowly her eyes slid open, fingers twitching around her wand. She could move? She sat up slowly, one hand on the floor bracing herself as she took in her surroundings.
Her lips curled up into a snarl, a growl sounding from the back of her throat before she let out a murderous scream. Her fingers loosened their hold on her wand, tangling them in her hair at her temples. "Filthy blood-traitor!" She screamed once again, almost in tune with the terrible elevator music that was playing.
Grabbing up her wand she slowly stood on wobbly legs, glaring at her surroundings. "Want to play, blood-traitor? We'll bloody well play." She tilted her head back, chin jutting out as she raised her wand with an unsteady hand. She flicked her wrist, "Expulso!" The desk near the fountain cracked and exploded into a thousand pieces, and Bellatrix tossed her head back and let out a mad laugh. Turning she cast the spell once again, the stairs cracking and breaking underneath her magic as her eerie laugh vibrated off the walls.
Her laugh died as soon as she turned back to where the desk had once been. There it stood, its dark wood shining brightly in the lit foyer. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously at it. "What sort've magic is this?" She snarled, wand ever at the ready as she started over to the desk slowly.
