Who:Kaisa and Beau
Where:cafe
When: 8/22 lunch time.
What:Kai's catching up with her best friend.

The first time Kaisa had seen the old cafe that was close to school, she had decided that it was that perfect sort of place for friends to meet up and exchange stories and words of wisdom. It was that home base that every teen tv show had, with the large booths, kindly old servers, and the best comfort food around. Which is why she'd been dragging Beau here since they came to college together.

As usual,she got here first and slipped into the usual booth in the back left corner. Already, the little old lady that had served them a million times brought over a chocolate shake and large glass of water before winking at Kaisa. It made the girl smile as she took a sip and enjoyed the smooth taste of chocolate on her tongue, burning the metallic taste of blood from her memory.

As soon as Beau arrived, Kaisa waved him offer and hugged him quickly. "Hey stranger. How's it going?"

Beau was a little bit late. It had been an unusually busy day and so he had to bring himself back to a normal state before he could even get ready to go out. He showered for a long time, then dressed and dragged himself to the cafe his friend had suggested. He didn't really want to be awake, not still, but there wasn't much choice. He'd said he would go out and Kaisa was more important than his nap.

When he arrived he glanced around and smiled as he saw her, moving to the table. He picked up the water and took a sip as he slid into the booth, settling himself comfortably. "So, what's up?"

Catching sight of Beau, Kaisa grinned and moved to hug him once he sat down. She probably shouldn't have dragged him out so close to school starting for them, but she wanted to get as much Beau time as possible.

Offering him a sip of her shake, she gave him a somewhat sheepish smile. "Soooooo... I kind of got a date tonight." Which was a big deal for her. Kaisa could count the number of dates she had in high school on one hand. "And I ended up visioning yesterday so I'm still a bit fuzzy along the edges." Which meant that things were difficult to concentrate on and there was a strange mixture between exhausted and hyper.

Beau tensed very slightly at the hug, though as always he tried to hide it. He hated that flinching was the instinctive reaction he had to touch anymore. He liked Kaisa, just like he did the few other people he had allowed close, but he was still cautious around people in general.

"A date?" Beau looked at her curiously, not having expected that. He waved the milkshake away, shaking his head. That would be quite a bit added on his run and given how hot the evenings even had been, he didn't want to have to worry about that.
