"You're a cop, it's kind of the M.O. to come off as cold. Plus I mean warmer, you're not cold, but you're professionally distant." And that was the way it should be for a cop. Though he was right, he'd never arrested her, usually just forcing her to put back whatever she stole, unless it was food. Food was a different situation and she only stole that when she really needed it.

The same page... sex... Trouble wasn't a stranger to sex, but she wasn't all that fond of getting naked in front of someone either. There were scars from the attack over her sides and stomach that she was ashamed of. Buuuut men often didn't care if you asked to turn the light off during the fun and Aden was quite attractive. She wouldn't mind a bit of fun and a bed that she could actually stretch out on for a night rather than the lumpy couch of doom. "I think we might be. Do you snore? Or anything else I should know rules wise about crashing there?"
