Who: Trouble and Aden

What: Someone catches trouble doing what she does best.

It was Saturday night and Trouble was free from work and the torture of the full moon. So that left her with time to cause a little havoc. The night had started out fairly easy and fun. She'd headed down to the local outdoor mall to loiter and see a few other people she knew. There had been a little bit of flirting and a free meal from some poor sap a few hours ago. All in all, it'd been a good day.

And then in the window, she saw it. The bag was plaid, purple with spikes and studs along the side and was pretty much the perfect match to her outfit. But who in their fucking right mind would pay a hundred bucks for a handbag? She was sleeping on her sibling's couch for a reason. Which just meant that it was time for the five finger discount.

Waiting for a large group of teenagers to walk in and gain the attention of the cashier, she grinned as she slid the bag into her own shitty purse before slipping it over her shoulder and making her way outside. Now she just needed to get out of here and she'd be home free.

Why the fuck was Aden even here? That's right, to buy a quick bottle of rum from the shit liquor store, a place that gave him a discount because he didn't flash his badge like an asshole all of the time, and he looked the other way on a few shadier dealings. Nothing too bad, just bad enough he could write up a citation, but he didn't fucking want to.

Plus, ol' Jack behind the counter gave him a bunch of good tips on people around the place, he talked to a lot of them after all, and so why not take a bite out of bigger, more worrisome crimes?

Anyway, Aden'd just gotten a pretzel after having purchased his rum when he saw Trouble. No, not a clever nickname for someone he knew, a girl who literally went by the name of Trouble. A typical sort, brash, cocky, a thief too. Though Aden didn't arrest her often, she was the type who needed a few discounts here or there, and it was usually harmless; though, she did like to play a game now and again, and spotting her snatching the purse out of the window, Aden rolled his eyes and made his way towards her.

"What the fuck do you need a purse for? You don't have any money, case-in point, you're stealing a fucking purse," moving up next to her as he walked, taking a bite out of his pretzel, "Or did you think no one was watching?"

Trouble was happy about the new accomplishment and walking quietly through the crowds with a familiar face popped up. Oh look it was good old officer walker, and not in his blues. Apparently he had nothing better to do than ruin her good mood with the reminder that she was piss poor.

"Nice to see you too Walker. Do you really have no life tonight that you have to comment on my reasoning for getting a new purse? If you have to know, It's to carry my tampons." She sneered at him slightly, in the vaguest hope that he would flinch and leave like any normal man when women issues came to topic.

Aden took another bite of his pretzel, letting her go on and on a bit, before shrugging with a big smile, "I have no life any night, but you're one to talk--stealing purses you don't need. Look, kiddo, I get it. You need to make a living somehow, but that purse is both ugly, and unnecessary. And not something you need. Tell you what, we return that purse, and then I'll take you to go get a Happy Meal at McDonald's. Whaddaya say?"

He winked, not seeming to care when she brought up tampons. "I think your current purse will do well enough with that."

A flick of his wrist, and he took hold of her purse in his mind, and gave a tug, keeping her from moving forward with it.

It looked like the good ol' officer wasn't interested in just letting her have this thing for once. He just had to kill it, and insult her taste and decided to treat her like a little kid to boot. Usually she liked him better than most of the badge holders in the city, but tonight she had little desire to be around him.

"Thanks but no thanks,I think I'll pass on being treated like a ten year old, thanks." She would have tried to push on ahead, but then there was the tug on the bag that earned a glare and a growl from her. "Come on. That store makes bank every day from stupid teenagers who have enough money from mommy and daddy to get what they want. One lousy purse is not going to kill them and it's going to make my week. I wont have to look like I stole my bag from the hobo lady down the block for once. Why don't you go eat your pretzel so you can go home and look at porn or something."

"Well if you're going to act like a ten year old, and stomp your feet because it's unfair that you want this purse, but it's too much money, and then take it anyway even though it's illegal and unncessary, then I'll treat you like a ten year old. Now, put the purse back, or this time I'm actually going to arrest you," Aden watched her, his brow raising up as he did so."

"That store makes bank because people think they need their purse to be fancy, that store makes bank because they make things that people think are so necessary, that they're willing to..." He pointed at her, "Steal them. Plus, it can't be that lousy if you're willing to steal it. Also, if you're resorting to stealing purses, should you be judging that hobo lady?"

He shook his head and pointed back to the store, "Take it back. And I'll have plenty of time for porn tonight. Keep me from it, and we might have an issue."

Honestly, this is why she hated cops. They couldn't overlook the stupid crimes, but she was sure as hell that someone out there needed a cop to save them more than she needed one breathing down her neck. "Are you even allowed to arrest someone while you're not working?" She grumbled before finally taking the bag out of her own and shoving it at him.

"Here you go Officer shithead, thanks for being a killjoy and a jerk. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go grab enough change out of the fountain to grab some food." She hoped that would be enough, but doubted it as she tried to walk away.

Aden watched her and grabbed her by the wrist, pulling her back towards him and handed the purse back to her, "Uh-uh, you're going to return it yourself, apologize, and then I'll take you to get something to eat. I just had a pretzel, I could eat more. No need to jump into the fountain and get all wet."

He rolled his eyes, and turned her towards the shop she'd just come out of, and gave her a bit of a shove towards it, walking behind her as he did so, "And I'm not being a killjoy, you can have plenty of other types of fun without stealing. You know."

Too fast, damn it. She let out a huff and turned back to face him, annoyed at the grip on her wrist. "Great, because that's going to make this any better. "How about this. I put it back and don't say anything? That way you get what you want and I don't have to lose another place I can go into because you're high standard morals?" But she was going to take the food. That meant one less meal out of her own money.

"You are absolutely being a killjoy. Name three decent things you can do for fun without any money?" She asked as she glanced back at him.

Aden rolled his eyes, "Fine, put it back and then we can leave. Your choice on the food, and if you want we can order a bit extra so you have two meals." He shook his head as they walked, and then raised a brow at her question.

"Are you kidding me? Sneaking into movies. And yes, I know it's stealing, but that one's harmless. Uhh, dancing's a good one. I don't do it, but plenty of people have fun with that. And sex, sex is probably number one on fun things to do that don't cost money. So there you go, three things."

At least he was conceding that. She was grateful for that. But his offer made her feel a bit bad as well. She hated to be some charity case. But food was food. And she'd take it. That would save her from having to pay for any for tonight and tomorrow. She'd also be free from bumming off her brother again.

"So a movie is ok, but not a bag. Fine fine." She laughed at that and slipped into the edge of the store to pop the bag back in before slipping back out. "How come you don't dance?" She continued on like nothing had happened as she walked. "And sex is great if you have someone to do it with. Unfortunately I am currently manless at the moment." which was a constant my choice due to the lack of clothing sex usually had.

"A movie at a movie theater, not a movie from Wal*Mart, or whatever. So, you know, that's fine. I have my reasons, don't worry about it," He watched her put the bag back in and then grinned as she came back out and shook his head, "I doubt it's that hard for you to find a sex partner. You're pretty cute, despite the fact people are probably scared you're going to steal from them at all times. Alright, so where do you want to grab a bite to eat at?"

He began to walk away from the shop with her, "And why don't you get a job? I'm sure you have plenty of skills. You're smart enough to almost not get caught stealing."

"I got that, bit it's still stealing... and there wasn't anything good in theaters this week." She did turn and smirked at him. "Well we'll officer. Is that a compliment? Are you swooning at my pretty looks?" But she stuck her tongue out at him. "And I don't steal from people. I just steal from stores."

As they walked, she began to guide him towards the nearly Italian place. "I do have a job. I work at the second hand book store on 14th Street." It didn't give much but it was enought to eat.

Aden grinned and looked down at her, very obviously looking her over and nodding, "Not swooning yet, I'll let you know later. In the mean time, stealing from stores is still stealing from people. People work there, people run it, people own it. And people made that purse."

He opened the door for her, and let her in before following in behind her, "Nice place to work, but doubt it pays much if you're doing all this. Get a better paying job, or work a second one. I promise, you won't regret it."

He moved towards a booth seat, and dropped into it gesturing for her to follow, "Order whatever you want."

They way Aden looked at her drew a blush from the woman. She hadn't expected him to be playful back. "Damn, I'll have to work harder then. I don't take anything less than swooning from handsome men."She winked at him.

"I am not stealing that way. This is a major corporation. They pay their employees minimum wage, even less for the poor people who make the bags while the CEO is drinking drinks on the beach. I don't steal from smaller shops. Because they can't afford it."

At the suggestion of a better or second job, she shrugged. "I like the owner. She needs someone strong enough to help and I don't have time for a second job." She had moon issues to worry about,

As Trouble sat down , she grinned and went for the endless order of pasta. "You might regret offering that. But I'm thinking you're just going to regret the night in general.

"You think I'm handsome? Awww, are you trying to woo me into a night of free fun or something?" He winked in return, joking as he let her order whatever she wanted. He ordered himself a chicken parmesean, then leaned back rolling his eyes, "Trouble, dear, people at that shop are paid on commission. Yes, they're making minimum wage, but make up for it in commissions. So when you steal a purse, you're literally taking money out of those employees hands. Further, since those people making the bags make so little, imagine what happens when the corporation is out a few hundred, or thousand dollars, because a purse was snatched. Then imagine everyone has that same mentality, and they're out a few thousands of dollars. Someone's getting laid off, and it could be the person who already makes so little, they're not able to afford losing that job."

He winked at her, then raised a brow, "You don't have time for a second job? You have time to steal bags, and why am I going to regret the night in general? Is that a threat, or a promise?"

"I don't know, is it working so far?" She chuckled at him. "And you know you're good looking." And he was. Trouble never minded the view when he came around. "So once again I'm in the wrong. But really I don't think one bag is gonna kill them or the money they make. But let's just agree to disagrew at this point."

Trouble rolled her eyes and took a sip of her drink. "I have medical issues that take up a lot of time." A furry problem that just wouldn't go away.

She smirked at his question and leaned towards him playfully. "Well that's really up to you isn't it?"

"It might be, best left unsaid if it is though, for now," He grinned. She was cute, he'd give her that, and clever. He raised a brow as he watched her, shrugging his shoulders, "Fine, we'll agree to disagree. Again."

He then raised a brow, "Medical issues? Probably not the sort you want to talk about I assume, alright, it's still not going to gain you any sympathy points for stealing a purse."

Then his grin returned and he tilted his head watching her eyes, "Well then if it's entirely up to me, I'm going to make sure promises are kept."

Trouble shrugged at his question of medical issues. She wasn't going to talk about it. She hated to admit to her furry problem, especially with someone she wasn't all that close to. "I wasn't bringing it up to try to. I admit to trying to take it."

"Oh? And how should I keep that promise Officer Aden?" She smirked, curious what was on his mind. He was interesting for sure.

It took effort for Trouble not to just dive into the food laid out before her. Being a werewolf always left her constantly starving and most of her money just went to keeping her stomach satiated. This was one of her favorite places thanks to the large portions and constant refills.

'I'm sure we can find the same page." At his comment about her smirk, she widened it a bit more and winked at him. "Don't have to worry about that. It's a pretty constant on here... except when chewing. Glad you like it though. You can keep smiling too. It's a nice change now and again."

"I smile most of the time, it's just not always genuine," He chuckled and then went back to eating, watching her as he did so, tilting his brow up and gazing at her a long moment. He swallowed then, and then nodded, "Alright, same page then. I do hope we're thinking along the same lines, or things are about to get super awkward."

He was joking of course, sort of, and took another drink as he took a moment to actually look the girl over, taking in the assets of her, and nodding his head. Appreciating what was there, "So uh... where do you live?"

"Yes, but it's nice when it is. It makes you seem warmer." She had seen his cop smile before, but she liked his real ones today. "Don't worry. I don't do awkward all that often. So we could be miles apart and it wont change anything."

She was careful to eat slowly and normally but finished the plate quick enough to order a second one. "Here and there. Most of the time I crash at my siblings' house. What about you? Got a place in the city or have you moved to the suburbs yet?"

"You're a cop, it's kind of the M.O. to come off as cold. Plus I mean warmer, you're not cold, but you're professionally distant." And that was the way it should be for a cop. Though he was right, he'd never arrested her, usually just forcing her to put back whatever she stole, unless it was food. Food was a different situation and she only stole that when she really needed it.

The same page... sex... Trouble wasn't a stranger to sex, but she wasn't all that fond of getting naked in front of someone either. There were scars from the attack over her sides and stomach that she was ashamed of. Buuuut men often didn't care if you asked to turn the light off during the fun and Aden was quite attractive. She wouldn't mind a bit of fun and a bed that she could actually stretch out on for a night rather than the lumpy couch of doom. "I think we might be. Do you snore? Or anything else I should know rules wise about crashing there?"

"Is that what my MO is? See I didn't know, I'm glad to have you here to tell me these things," He grinned, raising a brow in her direction, shrugging a bit, "But I'm not on duty. So I don't need to come off as cold or distant I don't think. Probably pull it off well enough at least."

He watched her order her second meal, but had said he'd buy her two so he wasn't going to worry about it. At her questions he raised a brow, staring at her, then shrugged a bit, "I don't know if I snore, never bothered to ask. But probably. Bed's real comfortable though, you might like it. And only other rules are no stealing anything, no touching the guns, and most definitely no watching anything on QVC. Can't stand it, annoying trash on that channel."
