all_the_news is Adelaide Kelly, newspaper woman extraordinaire. She's been in Corvallis for about ten years and has been running the Daily Gazette on her own for about seven of them. (Her brother decided that frontier life wasn't for him). She also does some other printing jobs on the side.
Adelaide is often brash and forward, especially if it gets her the news. However, she's also respectful of things told to her "off the record" and isn't a gossip. If you want to gossip at her, she's all for it; just don't expect her to pass along the news unless she's had it confirmed.
