*comes home after a father-son outing in the park, rather more exhausted than Arandur (how do they do that?)*
*checks the messages on the machine and is shocked to find a request from Mardil asking that he come by for a meeting with the king at his earliest convenience*
*turns the kiddo right back around and heads outside again, much to Arandur's delight (no, seriously...how??)*
*walks over to the palace and up to Thingol's office (where he leaves his son in Mardil's care), holding out no real hope of Thingol being in a forgiving sort of mood* *has read the latest news, after all* |

*has been utterly scared silly by all this "Ossiriand Ripper" business, and wonders if what she said to Bobbi Lee wasn't as ridiculous as she thought* *also wonders where Bobbi Lee's been lately and hopes the Ripper didn't get her!*
*has also been thinking on her Mom's suggestion, and decides maybe it is a good idea to have the baby at home* *misses her Daddy!*
*really rather impulsively packs some bags, leaves a note for Beren, and catches the next flight to Delving* *shows up in the Palace some time later looking like a small walrus* |

*walks through the halls of the palace toward his office, phone pressed to his ear*
What color? I don't care what color. Pink. Girls like pink. ... Oh, it'll be a girl, all right. Even if it's a boy. With a father like that? ... *sighing* Green. Whatever. The important thing is that they're from Lúthie's friends. Don't forget. They'll play along. ... Of course I didn't threaten them. Threats are completely unnecessary at this point. Oh, and the same goes for the other things. This is the last batch, though, I'm serious.
*drops his phone in his pocket and steps through to his inner office with a nod to his secretary*
*doesn't notice his visitor until he's seated at his desk* *very nearly has a heart attack on the spot*
*after a long moment's recovery, coldly* Are you trying to kill me? Again? |
