*heads to Hithlum to pass the time while Finrod's in Delving taking care of the rest of her things and visiting her Eruson*
*misses hanging out with Fingon* *in a manly, manly, utterly non-gay sort of way* *also just thinks Delving is really creepy, and is glad he'll never have to go there again*
*waltzes (not literally) into the royal compound and makes his way to his brother's office* |

-a captain out with a gunshot wound
-a filthy traitor Glorfindel-shooting miscreant nephew in his office
-a daughter safely(?) out to tea with her mother (thanks for doing something useful, Elenwë!)
-a grandson safely out of the city for the day (hunting treasure in the hills)
-a sister/mother-of-nephew running Very Important Errands (she should feel like she's contributing to the household!)
-a Finrod gone forever
-and a strangely well-liked big brother here to help him

*travels to Gondolin by train* *doesn't actually inform Turgon that she's arriving but, instead, goes straight to the hospital for an appointment*
*emerges, later in the afternoon* *texts Celegorm, as she stands on the front steps of the hospital building to confirm that he is to be an absentee father*
*falters slightly as she tries to decide whether to check into a hotel or brave the Palace* |

*finds himself distracted by memories and thoughts of the past following his conversation with Idril*
*manages to make it through the festivities well enough, but can't keep some thoughts off his mind*
*late at night, after everything is through, makes his way to the library, pulls down a book, and begins reading*
*is still there the next morning, bleary-eyed and surrounded by a stack of books* |
