He goes around to Sookie's just like he said, to see where she was. He pokes around to see if she or anyone else is in, before eventually getting worried and finding a suitable window, pries it open, and gets inside. He still can't see anyone. Even calling out to her he doesn't see anything. He wanders around until he sees the picture she had been talking about earlier, he stands in front of it, inspecting it.
