The warm of the sunlight pouring through the trees felt so good against his skin, yet the air was still cool enough that the sweater Deucalion wore was more than enough to keep him comfortable too. It had only been a few days since the Alpha arrived in Preya; and while he had truly enjoyed meeting new folks, and exploring a bit, Deuc was also excited to simply relax for a spell. So there the wolf sat; back resting against a large tree, reading through a book on mead brewing, while a long red string of yarn was attached to his pinkie finger. On the other end of that long strength of yarn was a tiny black kitten, Kali, who playfully pounced through the tall grass while never straying to far thanks to the collar of string. The Emerald Forest was breathtaking to be sure, and the Alpha found it easier to breathe and relax here as well. Just a stone's throw away from where he say the small but quaint rustic cabin of his sat too.
Isolated, but close enough to the rails that transportation was simple & feasible, the wolf found his new/old home to be perfect. With a few odds and ends he had picked up from the Fall Festival the interior of the cabin was downright comfy, and even from his tree Deucalion could smell the scent of his rabbit stew slow cooking over the fire place. Not in a rush, not needing to be anywhere at all, the man glanced up from his book and grinned for a moment as he watch the kitten Kali take down a dandelion. The soft warm chuckle of his echoed out for a second, yet when the Alpha heard the sound of another heartbeat drawing near he spared a glance in the direction of it's source. "No need to hide yourself, little coyote. It's just us and the tabby here."
