Who: Cassian Andor & Jyn Erso, Open to Anyone
What: Setting up housekeeping,
Where: The Marketplace in Everdale
When: Sunday Morning
Warnings: TBA
Status: On-going
Every third Sunday the market in Everdale opens up its grounds to anyone who signs up in advance and pays a nominal fee. On third Sundays it isn't only people who make a living buying and selling who set up in the market; it's anyone who might make a bit of supplemental income with extra produce from their cottage garden, or their grandmother's famous pickle formula produced in small batches. There are people who make more rag rugs than they strictly need, or who are much too proud to knit socks for a merchant to sell, but who are perfectly willing to sell those same socks direct to their neighbors, respectable like. There are hobbyists down from Summerbridge, peddling beaded bracelets and watercolor paintings; there are occasional secondhand dealers from the city looking to offload their excess merchandise. Deals and oddities abound.
Jyn and Cassian turned up early, first so that they might be able to finish up their errands before the heat of the day (there's a fair bit of shade in the marketplace, but it still gets close and heavy, especially on busy days, and third Sundays are busy), and secondly so as not to miss anything good. Besides, they've been living off the contents of their pockets and the minimal amenities of the Kingsby Tavern's rent-by-the-week attic room for more than a month, and while they both value their dignity too highly to say so, even to each other, they're getting tired of it.
They don't draw much attention, as they make their way from one stall to the next, two slight people with worn faces and watchful eyes, and they talk more to the vendors than they do to each other. They might almost be strangers, except for the way they move through the crowd together, occupying the same space, her shoulder bumping his, his hand resting now and then on her arm for a moment, grounding. They've walked a market square like this before.
(They're not expecting explosions, this time. But you never know.)
At one point midway through the morning, after a hushed consultation, they split up for a while, pursuing their separate paths among the thickening throng; but soon enough they’re side by side again as the sun climbs to noon.
[OOC: Feel free to accost either or both of these weirdos at any point! Or set up for them to accost your character! Separately or together. Anywhen in the morning!]
