James sat up to prop himself on his elbows for a moment. He thought Albus was an interesting young man. A bit like himself in some respects, but maybe without the Gryffindor confidence and bravado that he and Sirius had learned to emulate so early on in their time as friends. He thought back to the conversation he had had with the boy. They shared a few things in common, and that was actually very heartwarming, but Albus had been pretty vague in a lot of other things.
"He told me he somehow got his hands on a Time Turner, but didn't specify how." That part was something that James was very curious about in particular, because if he had obtained it illegally, he was definitely a Potter. If it had been legal, then he was definitely from Lily's side of the family. Except that without an answer, he wouldn't know. "Said he'd wanted to fix something in the past. I would venture to guess his relationship with his father."
Albus just seemed like a very guarded individual. James worried about that. Especially given that Harry had seemed so utterly shocked by the presence of the (currently) youngest Potter. This place was strange enough as it was, James couldn't really imagine being a child. Being forced to live in a school, not knowing day to day what might happen, and who one might be able to help in case of emergency. "I gave him my mobile number in case he wanted it."
For another moment, his mind wandered. When it came back, he stared at his wife. "Lily, what if we took guardianship of him?"
