The cold from the ice jutting up from the trees didn't bother Natsu. Happy wrapped himself up and was clinging to his back, but Natsu just sized up who he was talking to for a second while he was shivering. No doubt the ice was from this guy. Did his powers work like Gray's? Natsu could sense that he was powerful, but there was something off in comparison to another magic user like himself. He didn't know what it was and it didn't matter much. The disappointment at not finding his friend was glossed over by the fact he'd found someone around who might be worth fighting that he wasn't going to mess up.
"Yeah, well, I'm not worried about that. Anyone can go ahead and try." Natsu raised his hand, a fireball flickering to life in his palm. "Especially not if it's someone who uses ice." But he wasn't looking for a fight right now unless this guy was up for one. He always was, there was no hesitation there ever. He had to keep getting better if he was going to keep calling himself a Fairy Tail wizard. That was a title he would wear proudly no matter the world he was in.
"Name's Natsu," he jabbed a thumb back at the blue mass of fur on his shoulder, "and this is Happy. Since you're not Gray, who are you?" He didn't attack him to begin with making Natsu pretty confident he wasn't going to as he came closer, looking around at the ice. Impressive enough. He wondered if he could make things the way Gray did with his.
"What're you doin' out here? Training?" From the looks of it, that had to be it.
