Even though Cassie didn't really drink anymore, she definitely enjoyed a good party. There was always dancing and laughing at other people while they got drunk. Not to mention, there was the fun of hanging out with Bee and Allie and everyone. It was a great way to celebrate school finally being over with for the year. Cassie was having a good time. She'd done her share of dancing, but despite the ache that was starting to develop in her feet, she wasn't nearly ready to stop. Luckily there were nonalcoholic drinks here, too, though, because she was parched. As the song faded into another, she told Bee and Allie she was going to get some water and made her way through the crowd. On her way back to her friends, though, she bumped into someone else she knew. It wasn't really a pleasant surprise in this case, though. It was her ex-boyfriend - the one who had gotten her into partying and drugs to begin with - and she was far from happy to see him. She forced a tight-lipped smile, anyway, trying to be polite, as she excused herself and tried to move around him. "Baaaaaby," he slurred as he slipped an arm around her waist. He was wasted. Drunk, at least. Probably high, too. "Where you goin, Cass? It's been awhile. We should catch up." She worked to pull away from him, but his grip on her only tightened. "C'mon, loosen up, have a drink, we can talk about old times." He tried to plant a sloppy kiss on her lips, but she turned her head and he caught her cheek instead. His breath reeked of whatever he'd been drinking tonight. Ew. |
