Where: Navy Yard then Fort Hamilton
When: December 28, 2010, morning
Summary: Abby thinks something hinky is going on
Brain Matter blasted through the speakers as clicked away at the keyboard in front of her. Evidence from one crime scene as well as evidence from the victim's home and office was on her table. At that moment, Abby Sciuto was analyzing a powder found on the victims clothing while at that same time going through some video when the mass spectrometer went off.
"That's a good Major Mass Spec," she cooed at her machine as it displayed the results on her computer screen. "Why can't Major mass spec be a man? I would so marry Major Mass Spec if he was a man. Abby Mass Spec. Abby Spec. Abigail Scuito-Spec."
Reaching over, she picked up her almost empty half-gallon sized cup of Caf-Pow from her counter and took a large gulp and finished off the rest of it. Thank God Major Mass Spec found something because I'm out. She looked over the results, frowning slightly because the substance on the clothing was nothing special. "Won't be able to trace this to anything," she said out loud with a frustrated sigh.
"We cannot let Gibbs down. The dirt on the shirt did not show us anything, so on to the next substance; fiber from the victim's pants," she declared as she went through the steps of step to prepare the sample for the Mass Spec. After placing the sample into the machine, she moved back to her computer to continue with the video only to feel her eyes drooping after only a few moments.
"I need another Caf-Pow."
Quickly, Abby stepped into her office and collected her black lace umbrella and coffin shaped purse before shutting off the music. She spun on her heel; becoming blinded by a light reflecting off her shiny metal table. With a head shake she stepped into the lab. Abby felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck. "Ow!" she said, frowning as everything went black.
Her eyelids felt heavy as she blinked them back open. Instinctively, Abby's hand flew to her neck where she felt the pin prick. As her eyes came into focus, she took a good look around. It was an interrogation room, but not the one at the Navy Yard. A shiver ran up her spine as she continued to look around until the only door open.
Her eye widen in shock and surprise. "This is a little hinky."
