RP: Tim, Savannah, Others?
Who: Tim, Savannah, Others?
Where: the yard
When: July 29, 2011
Summary: It's about to rain

The day had been hot and humid. The news said that it would rain at 7:00pm. Savannah didn't pay a lot of attention to the weather reports, but around 6:45 the sun suddenly disappeared and she could hear thunder. She left her food on the plate and ran upstairs, while calling Tim. "Hey, you, it's about to rain. A storm," she said all excited. "Bathing suit, yard, and if you're there after the rain start you lose." There was no question that she would be there. She wouldn't lose.

She changed quickly and ran back downstairs and through the house so she could leave from the back door. She left the phone on the kitchen counter and ran outside just as Tim was coming out. She raised her arms. "Still nothing, but I think it'll pour in a bit. Look how dark the sky is all of a sudden. We had that at home. First the sun, then the rain, and suddenly the sun again."

"Almost." Tim repeated shaking his head just slightly while Savannah did whatever it was she was doing just over his head. They were never going to agree about who was better, cheerleaders or football players, though Tim could admit she was good.

So maybe Savannah made a little sense when she explained it like that, they'd played football in the mud and the rain before, and he'd caught the ball then. It was easier though - when you didn't have to worry about breaking the bones of a football, Savannah might be tough but that was a long way to fall. "I'm gonna keep my eyes open if it's all the same to you."

He really didn't have to move much at the end of it, she stayed very nearly right above him, just a short step back and Savannah came down into the cradle of his arms. "Still not a cheerleader, as you like to remind me." He grinned though, it wasn't too bad really - maybe it'd be easier if it wasn't raining.

Savannah chuckled when she was safe in his arm and put her arms around his neck. "See? You were brilliant. We can even try with your eyes closed next time," she said, giggling.

She kissed his cheek. "You were almost as good as a cheerleader. In fact, I think you did amazingly. Thank you. I miss stunting and flying. It's... different, it's a great feeling, and I don't get that anymore." She grinned at him. "You can put me down and we can toss a ball if you want. I'm not a quarterback, but I've learned some plays, and I can catch myself. Do you want to play?" she asked, because she might like to cheer, but playing ball in the rain was fun.

Tim laughed shaking his head when Savannah teased him. "I think I'll be keeping my eyes open anytime we do this in the future." Tim assured her - he doubted there was ever going to be a time he trusted himself enough for that, just teasing or not.

"So this is your plan isn't it? Make me lift you and throw you around and stuff and then turn me into a cheerleader?" Tim asked with a smirk as he set Savannah on her feet. "I wouldn't know about flying - least not what you're talkin' about - could be fun maybe, I guess ... if you like that kind of thing." Tim really didn't have a clue. But he grinned wide when she suggested throwing a ball around, now football in the rain, even if it was just the two of them - that was much more his style. "You hafta ask?" He laughed all ready running off to get the ball they'd gotten to play with at Easter.
