RP: Dom and Jenna
Who: Dom and Jenna
Where: Team center and possibly Dom's house
When: June 1 , 2011
Summary: Let's try this, but without parents

Dom hated that things were weird with Sam, but they had nothing wrong, and while Jenna should have told them, Sam had overreacted.  If he'd been this worried, he should have texted her or called her.  However, he knew better than to try and argue that point.  Not if he wanted to survive.  At least things got better when they worked in teams.  There was no Sam or Callen, and while Morgan had told them that next time, they should inform both him and Callen, he let it go after that.

The afternoon went by pretty uneventfully, and when they were done, he approached Jenna.  "Wanna come over for a while?" he asked her. "I promise to have you home by dinner," he said, teasingly.  "Or we'll get Morgan to call them and say you're staying over for dinner."  This was almost like dating back on the bases, where every father had a gun and knew how to use them.

Things were still tense at the house, or maybe that was just the way Jenna was reading things - either way she was more than happy to be busy with classes and work during the day. To give her something to do away from the house and something else to focus on.

She smiled when as things were wrapping up for the day Dom found her. She huffed a short breath of amusement, because what else could you do when you came home to find your dad sitting on the porch cleaning guns because you hadn't actually told him you were leaving? She could deal with a little teasing from Dom if it meant that he hadn't decided this wasn't worth it.

"Oh you're funny, you should look into becoming a comedian." She said with a small smile. "I need to talk to dad before, but yeah I'd like to come over." She wasn't sure how that would go, but honestly she didn't need to deal with another shouting match. And if not well she could always invite Dom over to hers.

"I don't know. If I have to give up this job, I was thinking more theoretical mathematician. That or a comic book writer," he said with a grin.

Dom raised an eyebrow. "Wait? I get that you need to tell him when leaving the base, but you need to ask him if you can go over our house?" Okay there was reasonable, and there was insanity and this was the later, but he wasn't going to create a problem for her. "All right. You do what you got to do. Do you want me to wait for you or do you want to come over after you talk to him? I'd offer to go with you, but I don't think he wants to talk to me, but whatever makes it easier."

"Theoretical Mathematician?" She asked with an amused smile. "Put much thought into what you'd do if you had to give this up? Comic book writer sounds kind of fun though - if you're planning on writing a cool one, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it."

Jenna sighed and shrugged, "I think I'm grounded or something?" She got that her dad was upset over what had happened, but she didn't blame Dom for finding it more than a little strange. "Easier just to go along with it for now and let things cool off a bit." And then once things weren't quite so tense she'd see about having a little conversation about the fact that she was an adult and she'd go where she wanted on base.

"It's nice of you to offer, but I think maybe I'll field this one myself." She told him, "I'll go talk to him and meet you there depending on how things go, or I'll give you a call." She really wasn't sure how this little conversation was going to go.

Dom ducked his head, smiling. "I have a PhD in a PhD in Computational Science & Numerical Analysis. Theoretical math isn't that far fetched, although I like more practical applications, which is why I went into numerical analysis. I do have a Master's in Theoretical Computer Science. I also have one in International Relations. Comic book drawing was not on my class schedule. I could always try, though. If I could get five degrees in seven years, I can learn to draw."

They were still at the team center and unlike Deeks and Savannah, he didn't think that it was appropriate to touch and kiss here, especially when this was so new. Instead he nodded. "All right. I'll go to see Sheldon and let him know that I'll skip game night, but if you can't come for some reason, let me know. If not, I'll meet at the house." He winked at her. "Good luck."

Jenna told Dom she'd let him know what was happening as soon as she knew, and let him go before she went to find her dad. She tried to remember the last time she'd actually asked to go anywhere, and was having trouble coming up with a memory - it had been years, but like all the other rules this was just one more.

"Dom asked me to come over, so I'm asking you if it's all right if I go to his house now that we're finished for the day. We're just going to be at his house, he even promised to have me back for dinner - though if it's okay if I go over I might want to stay. I can call and let you know if plans change in regard to dinner." She told him deciding just to skip over any pleasantries or anything else and lay out the facts and see what here dad said. If he wanted her asking permission she could do that. "So what do you think?"

Sam decided that kids and orders didn't mix. He usually gave orders and people follow them. He did not deal with sullen kids well. He'd have to buy Tamira something huge when they got back home, because he had no idea how she survived twenty-three years without strangling them.

"Jenna, you do understand that this isn't about you going out, right?" he said, trying to be reasonable. No, not trying. He was reasonable. No one else seemed to be. "I don't think anything. I'm not passing judgement on what you do. As long as you follow procedures, then the answer is yes. You can go over. Let us know for dinner, mostly because it's polite, not because of rules." He couldn't believe what he was about to say. "If you decide to spend the night there, I want to know and you tell Morgan too. Also make sure to have your gun with you, and use normal house procedures for when you go to sleep. I want you safe."

She sighed and nodded. "Yeah I know it's not, and I'm sorry for what happened okay. I know I made a mistake." She wasn't going to get into all of it here - but she knew, she'd known then, and that hadn't ever been the issue.

"I'll let you know about dinner and if any other plans change." She wasn't about to start talking about possibly spending the night with Dom with her dad. She could call G if plans changed that much, she wasn't sure, but she'd just have to wait and see.

"I know you do dad." She hadn't really intended on getting into anything here and decided it was probably best to stop herself before she started. "I'm gonna go," She said nodding her head toward the exit. "I'll see you later."

At least that hadn't been too painful, Jenna sent Dom a text as she was leaving the building just to let him know everything had gone all right and she was on her way over. And not long after she was at his door knocking and waiting to be let in.

"Well I survived." She smiled a greeting when he opened the door. At least they wouldn't have to worry about her dad showing up with a gun at some point tonight, or finding him on the porch later. She wasn't sure they'd make it through another argument like that unscathed. Best just to try and avoid that whenever possible. "Apparently I'm not as grounded as I'd imagined, which is sort of a relief." She chuckled softly.

Dom had left Sheldon who was still trying to convince him that game night shouldn't be change because of 'other' plans, even when those other plans included a woman as he walked out the door. He got home and booted up his laptop. There were enough books, computers and video games in his room to show his status of a geek. He figured if Jenna didn't run away as soon as he showed her the room, then they were off to a fantastic start.

As soon as she texted, he went downstairs to open the door for her. "I see. There weren't any reports of disturbances either. I'm impressed." He chuckled. "I don't think you're the one having to worry about your father." He closed the door. "Come on. Room is upstairs, and Morgan isn't back yet. We can figure out if you want to stay for dinner before we order." He climbed the stairs, keeping her pace, quickening his steps enough to open the door for her. Despite all the electronics and books, the room was spotless and everything was in his place. "Make yourself at home."

"Well I do have a few skills." She said with a smile as she came inside letting Dom close the door behind her. "He's not going to kill you." She assured Dom laughing as she laid a hand on his arm. "Threaten you maybe, but he won't kill you, I promise. And I'm still the one that has to live with him, so I'll keep right on worrying about him for a while longer."

She kind of liked the way Dom was a gentleman, when you tended to stick to fooling around with other Marines there wasn't a whole lot of door holding that went on - not to mention that Jenna didn't want that from other marines. It was hard enough being a woman, she didn't need to draw attention to that. But Dom wasn't a marine, and maybe she just liked that he did those things for her.

Once you knew that a person had read the dictionary in his free time as a child, the fact that he was a geek was sort of solidified in a person's head. But coming into Dom's room, if there had been any doubts left in her mind they'd have fled in an instant. "Yes, this is definitely your room. I still haven't done anything to mine at the house." She told him thinking of the remnants of the room Savannah had left for her. This room obviously belonged to Dom, her's - well she supposed it looked a bit like Savannah had moved out of it and left it for someone else. She walked to one of the book shelves, reading titles that she'd have had a hard time reading if they were assigned for a class much less to read them on her own. "Do you mind?" She asked him, knowing she was poking around a bit.

"You're underestimating his ability to kill someone without anyone ever knowing it," he said. "Your father is one scary man. Trust me; I've worked with him." He'd listened to those little comments about torture techniques, and while some might have been jokes, Dom had no doubt that Sam knew and had used some of those. He was a SEAL after all. "He wouldn't kill you. You're his daughter. I'm fair game."

Dom looked at the room with different eyes when she declared that it was his room. "Well, it was an empty room and I put things in it, so yes, it's my room," he said, grinning. "I hadn't exactly thought about it, but bookcases and a desk always seemed like the most important thing, almost more important than the bed." He sat on the bed, giving her the choice of chairs or bed. "Why haven't you done anything?"

He shook his head. "No, go ahead, but if you're trying to find some embarrassing title, I'll spare you the trouble. Random Perturbations and The Finite-Dimensional and Spatially Extended Systems is right over there. I mean what was I thinking? Finite-Dimensional and Spatially Extended Systems, right? If dimensional travel is possible, then we have to account for an infinite-dimensional system. I'm sure you can see how terribly embarrassing that is. However, I hope that The Quantum Mechanics of Two and Three Dimensional Nano Structures makes up for that," he said, keeping a straight face. Sheldon would even take him seriously, especially since he did have those books in his collection. He doubted Jenna would see it the same way.

"I'm pretty sure if you disappeared someone would notice," She told him - she knew her dad killed people, you couldn't be a SEAL and get away without killing people, and she was sure her dad was more than capable of killing someone without anyone noticing, but she still liked to believe that who she dated wasn't going to be a reason to kill someone. "Okay fine, he wouldn't kill me - I bet he could see his way to maiming me though." She teased him.

"Book cases almost more important than a bed?" She asked him with a small smirk raising an eyebrow at him. She shrugged when he asked about her room. "It's just a room right? A place where you sleep at night and keep your clothes." Not that she'd felt that way about rooms at home, her room at mom's house was filled with things that made it her own, pictures and CDs and books, medals and certificates on the walls. "It didn't seem important when I first got here, and now I've been in it so long it seems too late to change it." Making it her own meant accepting it was more than temporary too, and she wasn't sure she was ready for that.

"Finite-Dimiensions?" Jenna tutted, "Yes that would be embarrassing, I don't know how you can stand having it around reminding you of just what a mistake it was to get that particular title." Jenna would never in a million years pick up a book like that of her own volition, she did however find it amusing that Dom apparently had. "Well I don't know, you know what they say about dimensional nano-structures after all, though I suppose we can say it makes up in part." She turned away from the book case and grinned before she sat down with him on the bed

"I'm sure they'd notice that I'm not here. I'm not sure that they'd find any trace of me or anything leading back to Sam," he said laughing. "And he doesn't need to kill or maim you; he can ground you," he teased back.

Dom shook his head, looking down before finding the courage to look at her again. "The bed is not used for anything other than sleep. Alone. The bookcases are multipurpose and vital to keep books on order." He hummed. "You're going to make me sound like Morgan, but I don't think so. I get that at the beginning you don't want to settle, but it's been months and no matter what anyone says, the probability to get a stable portal to multiple dimension with a targeted arrival isn't something we can achieve easily. I've looked at some of their research and it had no aim, just go to a random dimension and pull them back. Their pulling mechanism doesn't work and at the moment, at best we can go to a dimension, but no guarantee that it's the one we are from. I guess I'm saying that it's probably time to make it yours."

He grinned, happy that Jenna was going along instead of running away. "I know, but we can learn from mistakes. I use that as a reminder." He watched her look at the titles. They were scientific books or comic books, with the occasional political science book and a few novels, not exactly what normal people read.

He brushed her hair when she sat down and kissed her. "Are you really okay? I know a thing or two about growing up with a dad who forgot that he was more than a sergeant."

Jenna wrinkled her nose when Dom teased her and stuck her tongue out at him, just because she could. "You just see if I try and find out what happened to you when you disappear." She told him shaking her head.

The corner of her mouth quirked with a small smile when Dom explained why book shelves could be more important than a bed. "And everyone knows disorganized books are the first step on the road to disaster." She said sagely before grinning. And then Dom started being logical about the whole room situation, his point mirroring her reasons for not having done anything with the room. "I know I should do something with it, Savannah even offered to go shopping with me to get some things for it -" She traced the titles of a few of the comic books on Dom's shelf. "It was easier to think we were going back soon when we first got here, and now - it's like giving up, getting new curtains and maybe painting the walls, getting books and making it a space that looks like it really belongs to me." She shrugged. "I know I'm just being stubborn about it."

It was fun teasing Dom, she wasn't dumb, but she was definitely the sort of person who left the important things, like inter-dimensional travel and nano-structures to the people who loved learning and studying those sorts of things. Just like she stuck with the things she loved to do. It worked out best for everyone that way. "Ah a man who keeps his past mistakes on hand, I like that."

But she liked better sitting beside Dom on his bed, and then when he kissed her. "Yeah, I'm all right." At least with things with her dad. "I - he wasn't around to do that whole over-protective dad thing when I was younger, I guess he needs to do a little of that now." And she'd certainly given him a reason to do just that.

"I'd love to, but I doubt I'd be able to see... or breathe," he continued, laughing. He didn't actually think that Sam would kill him; it'd be too obvious. "On second thought, he'd have Callen do it while he has dinner with you. They are sneaky that way."

Dom gasped. "Disorganized books? Are you crazy? How would I find the right book when I have an epiphany while playing Corona. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Marines!" he said shaking his head.

He stopped joking and squeeze her hand. "It's not giving in; it's accepting the facts. Whether you put curtains or not isn't going to change the speed with which we will find a way home, but with limited access to the research, no supercomputer to run possible models, we are talking years. If we are lucky. Not that anyone has bothered asking us. They are spending so much time training, that I think they forgot that we need to research this."

Dom snorted. "If you were younger, he wouldn't have holstered the gun." He squeezed her shoulder. "I know I'm from a different dimension and this isn't the same person, but this isn't over-protective. When he spends weeks punching a bag and training until you want to die, because there is no way you can last one more second, that's still not over-protective. When he becomes completely irrational, that's over-protective. You have a long way to go."

"You have clearly put in far too much thought about how my dad might possibly have you killed one of these days." Jenna said. And maybe they were joking but the little she knew about her dad and what he did, she thought he probably could do exactly what Dom said - right down to having G be the one to kill someone to take suspicion of himself.

She laughed at the sound Dom made, "Clearly they need to add a training course on the importance of keeping your books organized. No one ever mentioned the perils of break throughs in the middle of video games to us."

Threading her fingers with Dom's Jenna sighed while he said what she all ready knew - the things that people didn't talk about, but it didn't change the fact that if they got a chance to go home at some point it was going to be a long time before it happened. "No one seems to want to say that though, it's all just a temporary thing - we'll get out of here soon enough." She sighed, maybe that was just her, or wishful thinking on the part of others. Though she thought maybe they were all coming to realize this wasn't just something they could wait out. "That's the point though isn't it? To keep us busy? So we're focused on something other than being pulled out of our lives and stuck here?"

"If I were younger he really might have shot you." Jenna said with a smirk. "Ah so you're telling me I have a lot to look forward to on the road to an over-protective father?" She asked him with a grin.

Dom shook his head. "The scary thing is that I haven't. I'm coming up with this on the spot. It's more the sum of so many little things that he's said during the months, never knowing if he was serious or joking, although the general consensus was that he was serious and only pretending to be joking."

He rolled his eyes. "There's no need for that. Anyone who'd have a break through in the middle of a video game already knows that. Really Jenna, you must have not hung out with many geeks in school. It's a shame."

Shrugging, he looked at her. "I don't even know if it's that. Vance, Hetty, Callen, they are people of action. Even scheming is an activity. This isn't something they know how to do, just sit and wait isn't who they are." This discussion was making clear that he would have to talk to them, or they'd never go home. "I don't need to keep busy. I have research to do. I have plenty to focus on. In fact, I might have even managed to find someone to date," he said. "Unless I'm reading this wrong, in which case I apologize, because I don't need a woman kicking my ass, even if she's a Marine."

He snorted. "I don't do it for a second, and you might, but we should stop talking about. Here, let me show you something." He got up and close the blinds, before getting back on bed. "Lie down with me." He realized after a moment how that sounded. "I just want to show you something."

"And that's a side of my dad I'm happy not to get to know very well." Jenna said - she missed a lot about not having him around growing up, and not getting a chance to really know him until now, but she was more than fine not being able to come up with various ways her dad might plan to kill someone.

"I dunno, we played a lot of Halo and Call of Duty - though I'm not sure it's the same thing, when everyone is just playing for as many headshots as possible and a chance to fuck your corpse before you get respawned." She shrugged - the guys loved stuff like that, and she had to admit it was pretty funny and not a half bad way to pass the time.

Jenna nodded. "Most of the agents seem to be that way." She might even classify herself like that too - though she could actually take time and sit the way some people seemed to be completely unable to. She smiled and shook her head, leaning in to kiss Dom quickly, "You're not reading this wrong." She assured him, glad that they could at least get on the same page about this.

She raised an eyebrow at Dom when he got up to close the blinds then asked her to lay down with him, chuckling when he realized too what it sounded like he meant. "All right." She said without actually laughing, but she moved and stretched her legs out before she laid back beside Dom. "So what are you going to show me?"

"I'm sure you'll get to see a lot more of that." Especially if the reaction on the front porch was anything to go by. "If you ever want to talk about it, door is open." He wouldn't push, but he couldn't imagine that it'd be nice to know just what your father could do.

He stared at her with a big frown on his face. "And now I know why I never liked Halo. I can assure you that necrophilia was never part of my gaming experience. That's just wrong. You'll have to play with me and Sheldon, real games, with no fucking dead people."

Dom turned his head to stare at her. "So does Savannah know? And how soon will she ambush me? I've seen her around Kepner and Westen, and after pissing your father off, I can't afford to piss her off, too, but I can hide." He had no intention of discussing this with the woman. She'd been talking marriage within days.

"Okay, it's not as great right now, because there's still light, but it's pretty cool at night." He stared at the ceiling and pointed. "See? I found glow-in-the-dark stars and formed our constellations, and no, the ones outside aren't exactly the same. There are always some changes." Granted the major ones were the same, so there was no real difference with the ones in his ceiling. "I like to think of it as a piece of home while we find a way there. See? You can make your room yours and not give up."

"Yeah I have a feeling that is one thing I'm not going to be able to get away from, no matter how much I'd like to." Not with her dad there and the training and everything else. "Thanks." She couldn't actually remember the last time she had so many people tell her that they could talk if she needed it - but between Morgan, and Savannah, and Sean, and now Dom - well she was pretty set.

She laughed at the look on Dom's face. "It's all some sort of testosterone fueled thing with them - I don't really get it, it's fun to watch though." Mostly to see just how much the other person would react to it. "He's going to remind me I'm an idiot at some point if I play with you isn't he?"

"Well she knows I went out on a date, but it's possible she doesn't know who I went with. So you might be safe for a few more days." She assured him with a teasing smile. "Sean might talk to you though, but then again he could have been giving me a hard time - or maybe both." She shrugged, but a talk with Sean was going to be pretty painless most likely. "But I think it's best for both of us that we avoid Savannah and her ... fascination with relationships."

Jenna looked up then seeing the faintly glowing stars above them, seeing the constellations taking shape as Dom pointed. "I had a friend who had stars on her ceiling - when we were seven." She said teasing, but looking up at the stars Jenna could see Dom's point. "This is nice though, maybe a little nerdy but it's nice." She sighed moving so she could lay her head on Dom's shoulder. "Do you have a favorite?"

"Unlikely. It's even worse when he and Callen get going. After a while you don't know who's worse... and you don't really need to hear any of this. Sorry, I'll shut up now." Dom admired the man, but he couldn't imagine being his child. It was bad enough having a sergeant for a father. A SEAL turned undercover agent was a whole different ballgame.

"I'm not sure if you're trying to insult me," he said, even though he was joking. At least about the insult. The confusion was real. "I'm a guy. I'm a smart guy who's also an agent, and yet I've never associated testosterone with fucking corpses, especially if those bodies were male, because that's just gay, and I don't care what they call it. Of course, it could also be a power play, showing that they view sex as a power tool. Either way, I'm not sure that it's fun or something to share." He nodded. "You won't have that problem with Sheldon, but you can be certain that he will share just what he thinks of your mental abilities."

Dom chuckled. "I've dealt with your father; your brother is a piece of cake. Savannah is scary, too. She's going to be planning an engagement party before we're even allowed to go out on a second date."

He put his arm around her and held her. "So I'm not manly and I'm childish. Oh, and a little nerdy. Why do I want to date you again?" he asked, grinning. "Let's see, favorite constellations. I'd say Draco, sneaks in between the Ursa Major and the Ursa Minor, faces Hercules. Or I'm just a big Harry Potter fan, but that might be too nerdy."

Jenna wasn't sure what to say - she knew people knew her dad better than she did - G would likely always know him better, but even people like Deeks and Kensi would too, and Dom despite the issue with the dimensions. "Maybe we just avoid talking about my dad when we can, think that'll work?"

She laughed and shook her head. "No, I think it's more an issue of their perceived masculinity than yours." She told him, "Don't worry you'll know when I'm trying to insult you." She assured him with a sweet smile. "I am pretty sure you're right," But sometimes you took any entertainment you could get - whether that was video games or guys being assholes while playing video games. "I could maybe see my way to playing with you sometime, though I'll admit I'm better at the racing games than the shooters." Probably because the racing games were more fun and worked with her competitive nature than the shooters did. It was hard to feel too bad about dying when you just respawned again a few seconds later.

"Well you're more than welcome to start dodging Savannah whenever you like." Jenna told Dom with a grin, though if Savannah thought for a second she was going to start talking to Jenna about possible marriages then the girl had another thing coming.

"You're plenty manly, and just a little childish, and maybe a lot nerdy." She told Dom laughing softly, before she lifted her head to kiss him and shrugged. "You know I'm not entirely sure of that myself, probably because I'm so nice to you though." Jenna grinned while Dom told her about the constellations he liked and then snorted when he brought up Harry Potter. "Yeah, that might just push you over the edge and into the land of too nerdy, but I'll give you a pass. I always liked Orion."

"Doubtful, but we can try," he said, before kissing her gently. "What bothers you? That people talk about him in general? Or his work?"

Dom shook his head, smiling. "Right, now try to insult them, because they aren't present. You're such a horrible woman." He chuckled. "That's fine. I'm a gamer. I can do pretty much anything. Eric likes games too. We can find enough people to form groups. Now, do you think there will be objections about gaming play dates?" he asked, trying to keep a straight face, but he could only laugh about this entire situation. It was that or get depressed and Dom didn't get depressed.

"I plan to. I told you; she's scary, scarier than your father." Sam might yell and threaten, but Savannah would bit down like you were a bone and not let go until she had her fun.

He raised his eyebrows. "Plenty manly. I feel better all ready, although we've established that you're an horrible woman already." He nipped her lip, grinning as he did so. "I should send you out, especially after this little comment. Too nerdy! Really, how absurd. You hurt me so much that I'm considering whether I should tell you that I like Orion as well, mostly because one of its most famous stars is Bellatrix, who accidentally is Draco's aunt. And of course, straight from Orion, you find Sirius and Regulus is nearby. It's not my fault that Jo Rowlings ripped off the constellations. I'm just admiring them."

"You go your whole life feeling like you know someone, even when they're not around much, but you get to know them through emails and the times when they can be there, and then you suddenly find yourself in another dimension and find out you never really knew them at all - and all these other people you've never met know him better than you ever did." She shrugged, "It's just not the easiest thing in the world to come to terms with."

"Isn't that how it works? You insult the people who aren't around so that they won't know you're insulting them?" She asked with a laugh. "I think there will be some serious eye rolling, but we can pull it off."

Jenna laughed. "Yeah well just be grateful she doesn't go around hugging you, or talking about her wedding and what sort of dress would look best on you." She had agreed to do this wedding thing, and she'd even agreed to help with it where she could, but wedding planning was just not something Jenna was ever really going to be interested in.

"Maybe you just have a thing for horrible women? You ever consider that - could be your kink." She smirked against his lips. She laughed when Dom scoffed at her teasing about his being too nerdy. "No it's just your fault that you happen to know that all of those stars and constellations happen to share the names of Harry Potter characters."

"Even if you were living with him, you would have never seen this side of him, or you shouldn't have, not if he was a good father," he said. "I don't think anyone is meant to see this particular side of his or her parents. I remember this kid on post, his dad was special ops, pretty much built like your father, one day he had a beard, one day he didn't, one day he was speaking one language, one day he was speaking another one, but around us, not a word, never. I asked my friend, if his dad ever said anything to him, and he told me that they weren't even allowed to say special ops in the house. They might be elite, but they do a lot of things that they don't want to bring home. Not knowing these things doesn't mean you don't know him; it means you're his daughter and aren't meant to know them."

Dom gasped again. "And here I thought officers had some code of honor. I should have known better. You're just smarter than NCOs and insult people behind their backs. Or maybe you're just not as brave, but that might just be my father's theory," he said, smirking. "I think we can pull it off, especially if you continue laughing like this."

He cupped her jar and traced her cheek bone with his thumb. "We'll leave the wedding planning to her, but I wouldn't mind hugging you, or kissing you." He moved slowly, closing the space between them, before pressing his lips to hers. The intensity increased and his hand moved down her arm and behind her back, pulling her closer as his tongued explored her mouth. He'd have to tell Sheldon that this was a lot more exciting than Corona.

"Not sure I have kinks, but I can develop one if you like. We can even to a computer simulation of possible outcomes, at least I could if they gave me a supercomputer, an why am I talking science while we're kissing?" he asked, mostly too himself. "And nonsense, how could I not know those names? They are constellations. Everyone knows them."

"Maybe, it's a bit hard not to see those sort of things here though." And she didn't like it - not that her father did those sort of things. She could understand the things you did for the job you'd committed to - the way you served your country, but the way she heard some people talk about it, it was like she'd never known him and like she should have known all of this about him before now.

"Oh we have a code of honor, it just doesn't come into play when we're talking about Halo. And let's just hope that's only your father's theory." She said shaking her head. "I think I can manage more laughter, don't you worry about that."

And then Savannah and her wedding plans, and video games and anything else they'd been talking about wasn't nearly as important while they kissed. She smiled against his lips when he pulled her closer, and sighed into the kiss. This was good she decided, much better than teasing Dom or anything else they had been doing.

"I really have no idea, but I'm going to start getting the idea that you'd rather come up with experiments you could be doing instead of kissing if you don't knock it off." She warned him, leaning up to nip at his lower lip gently. Before she shook her head with a huff of something between amusement and just a little frustration - because they were definitely not talking about constellations and Harry Potter when they could be kissing instead. "I'm sure you know all of them, and many more than I do, but if you don't stop talking about them and start kissing me again you're going to become irredeemably nerdy and I just can't have that."

"It'll be impossible. Just remember that regardless what anyone, including him, says, he's not a SEAL. That's his job, not who he is." At least he hoped that it would make it easier for her to deal, because thinking that your father is a SEAL was probably not what a person wanted to do.

Code of honor, Halo, weddings, they all because irrelevant when she talked about more kissing.

"I guess now that the lady has spoken, I know what she wants." He could kiss her. He could do a lot more, but they'd start with the kissing and see where it led them.
