Summary: after they deal with the case, there's the emotional aftermath to deal with

With so many people on the case, Derek decided to bring everyone at the team center after they returned to go over everything they had found. Garcia had input the picture of their mystery man in the computer and she'd be working to find him.

They were done with the actual case work, but without anyone in charge of White Collar and with Callen gone, it was up to Derek to make sure that people were all right. So after he dismissed everyone, he tried to talk to them individually and hopefully they would talk to each other as well.

"Maybe I could." Tim shrugged, might even be better that way some part of his mind thought. He could get drunk after.

"Neal was watching Peter's back." Tim sighed, that hadn't done him much good. None of them were safe and it didn't matter what Derek promised him not when he couldn't really keep it.

He shrugged, it didn't matter. "Talk to whoever you want." He thought about the last time things had been so messed up, and even then it didn't compare to this. How could life in Dillon, Texas and the problems Tim had there compare to this?

"Then we can try that." Derek was hardly worried about going a round or two with Tim. He might even let him win just to get it out of his system, and then play a redo the next day to teach him what he did wrong.

"I'm not Neal," he said. "I've been doing this job for a long time and I've never lost a partner. I don't intent to do it now."

He nodded. "All right, I won't be long." He patted Tim's arm. "I'll be around soon, and then we'll get that match going."
