RP: Sam and the Kiddies
Who: Everyone
Where: Rockefeller Center
When: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 - evening
Summary: A potential team takes a field-trip.
G did not like the cold. He'd grown up in the sun. He worked in the sun. He'd done jobs in the cold and been happy to return to his beaches in the sun. That did not, however, and contrary to certain people's opinions, mean he didn't know what to do with it. He wasn't going to freeze his ass off no matter how much he complained about it.
The warm layers, solid shoes, and gloves he was wearing would attest to that.
Of course, the fact he had opted for a turtleneck sweater layered under his shirt and coat instead of a scarf that could be used by an attacker to get a hold on him would attest to the fact that he was just as paranoid in the cold as the sun.
The idea of a team outing had been a good one, even if he had to endure his partner's teasing about the weather and the crowds. Anything that helped the team was good in G's book. And, this was something that was still like their reality. The giant tree and neighboring ice rink were iconic, a touchstone of sorts even for those of them who preferred sun and surf to snow and ice.
Turning to the rest, he grinned. Really, this was something he could have fun with, at least this part. "All right everyone, Sam will be our cruise director for the evening. Be sure to buddy up and stay with the group.
"And I'll be in the rear guard keeping an eye out," he muttered lowly, proving that fun didn't exclude watching all their backs, either. At least it was as easy for them to get lost in a crowd as it was anyone less savory.
Well, most of them.
