"You weren't big on conforming. I'm shocked," he said, snorting, "but you are better. You wouldn't be with me if you weren't."
Sam chuckled and nodded. "It does, and you will get your ass handed to you, if you try and do anything stupid while out there. You'll like it up there. One entrance, fence all around, places for cameras, lots of trees with plenty of places for traps." Most people wouldn't be thinking about those things when describing a property, but it was what Sam loved about it. and what G would appreciate when seeing it. "I knew you'd understand. He called it creepy. It's not fun talking to him, although it's partially amusing to see him think it over and decide if I'm serious or not."
The light squeeze of G's hip was retaliation for the nip, although Sam loved seeing the bruises there regardless of the bite. "I would if she were my partner. Unlike some, I do have patience and I can put up with a lot of rambling." He chuckled as he listened to G complain about her. "Yeah, I'm surprised that she wouldn't get jokes. I don't know how that would happen considering how liberal and Bohemian she is." Sam kissed him, laughing. "Poor baby, didn't even have anything to suck on the entire time. We can always remedy the situation now. Nothing little here."
He put his arm around G and pulled him closer for another kiss. "You don't like that I have another partner," he said, smug. "This is why I kept quiet, baby. This is what I tried to protect so hard: me and you, out there, doing our job. That's how it's supposed to be. People keep showing up, and teams are rearranged all the time. If there's a way to fix things in a way that it makes sense, we will, and we can be out there together again."
