Re: Eric and Kensi
"That strange, huh?" he said, not asking if she didn't want to talk about it. He would have been so pissed off if it was him, and he knew Dom had been, especially for Kensi, but he wouldn't make her talk about it or anything. "How are the people there?" he asked instead, curious about her take on them.
"The work is different here," he said when she asked, and that was an understatement. In one way, it was so cool, the dimensional travel, trying to find out what material to access, and how to access it without anyone knowing. On the other he missed his toys back home, and the work they did there. The differences in systems were subtle and small, and it was interesting researching the differences. Then there was the set up in the safe house, finding the right things, checking prices, all without anyone finding out what he was doing. Some of it he could do when he went to get games or consoles privately, it was easy enough to note the prices of other things than the ones he actually bought. Some prices and specs he had to look up online, after making sure no one would be able to trace what he was doing.
"It's so cool in many ways, but it's not the same as it was back home at all. I miss the Ops-center."
Eric looked at Savannah and shrugged his shoulders. "Not sure," he said. "I haven't exactly asked and I don't live in the house." Given Savannah's obvious displeasure he was rather glad for that. "I'm glad I'm not Marty today though."
