She gave Eliot a look when he spoke, silently telling him to make an effort. He'd told her his side of things that had happened of course, and she could share his frustration, but at the same time she could see the other point of view too. They had left, and they would put Eve first - always - she would never change her mind about that, but at the same time they did try to help when they could.
"We're trying," April said to Derek. "I know it won't be easy, and some people will never trust us again or will always think we're selfish for leaving, but we are trying to do our best and help out as much as we can, while making sure not to get eaten," she added with a smile. The lack of privacy was the hardest part to get used to, but there was nothing to do about it.
