Marty and Doug
Marty left Savannah to hold court with Jamie. She wanted pictures with various people and after the first few, Marty opted to make the rounds of those gathered. After checking on the kids and do-si-doing around the dogs, he grabbed a beer and a glass of wine and made his way over to where Douglas was standing alone, Maura and Thomas having been shanghaied for a couple pictures with Savannah and the baby. Grinning, Marty held out the glass of wine. "Noticed you were running on empty and thought I'd bring you a refill."
Cracking open his beer, he took a bare sip. "Your brother's arm seems to be healing quickly. I'll bet you'll be glad when he can rejoin us in training and you're not stuck with just me and Travis," he teased lightly. Marty refused to treat either brother like they were 'different' when it came to the unit. They were his partner, his team, and Marty tried to treat them like he would any other. He was well aware of who they were and where they came from, the difficulties that presented in integrating with the team. And he tried to make those difficulties a little easier, make them a part of the unit, even if they were still somewhat distanced from the team as a whole. But, the unit was just that, a unit of four guys who had to rely on each other to have their backs regardless of where they came from. So, he teased Douglas and Thomas in the same way he would Travis. "Thank you for coming, by the way. Savannah and I are glad you're here."
