"Minor detail." Marty chuckled. As far as he was concerned, there was always a choice. Wasn't always a good one or much of one, but there was always a choice. "Don't sweat it, too much. It wasn't an order. Just personal preference. I won't shoot you for the 'Sir'." He smirked. "At least not the first dozen times."
Raising a hand, he shook his head and grinned. "I don't need to know about the gags, man, really. What you do behind closed doors is up to you." Alright, Reese sounded like he had a handle on things and was more than up to the task of getting the Director to do what was needed. Marty snorted. "Oh, I'm sure I could tell her...I would never have sex again and she would find creative ways to make me sorry I ever considered it. Possibly she'd turn Nova against me, too. But at least Harley would still like me."
Marty made notes in his head on the training ideas and Queen's archery. "Can't say it was ever something that I had to use. But, if there's anything I've learned in the last two years, it's that you never know what skills will come in handy. If it's true, we'll see about adding it to training."
This would have to stop, though. Marty understood chain of command and all that, but no matter what they were going into, this was still as much a team as it was a combat unit or whatever else they would need to be as they moved forward. "There's no overstepping if you're making suggestions. You have an idea, I want to hear it, okay? I may not agree. I may have already thought of it. Or, I may think it's brilliant. But, we don't have the same experience. So, you're going to think of things I won't. And vise versa. It's what's going to make this work." G probably would have thought of these things. He just had that knack for creative problem solving. But, Marty wasn't G. "And that's one of those things I wouldn't think of that's a good idea. So, we'll drop a word in Vance's ear about it. And you get any more ideas, no more hesitation in bringing them up, got it?"
