Sam had stayed quiet while absorbing everything. He was part of his training; it was instinctual to listen to your superior officer, but his mind was racing. He had to admit that this possibility had never entered his mind when thinking of possible scenarios that justified the eeriness encountered in Los Angeles. However, the files shifted his attention.

He eyed G for a moment, and then opened his own. He had never left the navy and he was married... to a man. His stomach tightened, experiencing something he hadn't since SEAL training: nausea. He looked up at Vance and Hetty, then closed the file. "You okay?" he asked G, because it was easier to deal with that than the fact that his carefully guarded secret was out.

"What happens to them?" he said, nodding at his folder. "What will they be told?"
