At Recall, everyone stopped morning PT and after being dismissed but before people dispersed to get cleaned up and eat Claudia cleared her throat loudly and said, "Excuse me, my brief word please." She waited a few beats until everyone who was going to give her attention was paying attention. "Please stay and talk to me if you're interested in doing something pink this coming Saturday afternoon. That's it. Thanks."

She waited to see who was going to stay. After she'd gotten her assignment, she'd visited the website of the spa, found something doable in her price range, and now needed to get to work on planning an op to the Green Spa for an In Pink Manicure. If she was assigned to do something she'd never do, she might as well do it for a good cause.

Savannah looked at her wondering what she was talking about. She could see the other looks of confusion, which were slightly better than the ones of annoyance. Before Sam or anyone else could blast her, she smiled.

"Wait, before everyone goes away-" she looked at Claudia, trying not to sigh. "What the heck are you talking about? Unless you explain, people can't make decision."

"Right. Okay. I was keeping it vague but semi-detailed because of what I can and can't say with security and location, since we're not in the safe room." Claudia glanced at Sam. "Loose lips sink ships, and before I start blabbing on and on, going silent and trying again."

Claudia scrunched her brow. She was trying to get this right, since last week's security meeting. "This Saturday afternoon I'm planning a trip to a spa specifically for a manicure, no other services. I will give more details to those who want to join me. Stay if you want to join me. How's that?"

Savannah glanced toward Sam and G who were staying around and she didn't think either one didn't know what this was about or after hearing the activity, that they were interested. She was also thrown back to a year ago when Eliot had tried to organize something similar.

"Okay, I have more questions and mind you I don't know the place, but how many manicurists do they have? Even assuming that only the women go, you are looking at nine people. Thirty minutes per person, we have four and a half hours. Now I'm sure they have more than one person, but it's Saturday so it's likely that they have other appointments. Why not let people do other things, like cuts or massages and you get more people in and out in the shortest time possible? Also if you allow people to do more, it's more inclusive." Not that she needed to get anything done after the spa a week ago and the highlights, but other people might feel different.

"That's information I'll be getting once I know who wants to attend. I'm starting with the who before I get to planning the how. Every outing is an op, Sam said, so I'll be working hard to get everything covered that was talked about. It doesn't mean it'll be an approved trip, but I'll be doing my best to get at least the planning part right. Or learn where I'm not getting it right." Claudia would not do anything less than an A-plus work effort, even if the grade ended up being a C-minus.

"I have some detail on the place and the specific activity, but again only sharing with those who want to come."

She wasn't surprised when Nick skedaddled. Eliot murmured something in April's ear before heading off, too.

Savannah frowned. And really flashbacks from that trip were getting stronger and stronger. "But why isn't telling us where we're going or how many manicurists they have necessary? No one said not to trust the people here, but not to trust the emails, and if you don't want to talk because of location, then why bother doing this now and not ask everyone in another room so people can give you an answer? Also I'd love to come, but if it takes us four hours, then I can't because I have a husband and kids and grocery and cooking, so time frame is very important, a lot more than the location. I can't possibly make a decision unless I know. In fact, why would I even want to come if I don't know the specific activity?" The more she talked, the more confused she got.

"I mean, you might not end up having a problem security wise, but you'll also not have a successful trip, because people won't say yes until they have the information, especially when you consider how paranoid most of us are." She knew without even looking who'd say yes and who'd ask for more information without committing to anything.

This being Claudia's first attempt at anything like this, April could more than understand the confusion on what she could and couldn't - and should and shouldn't do. She knew Eliot was bailing out before he whispered in her ear and saw Nate go with him. She didn't think a manicure or anything like it was for either of them.

"Why don't we make it simple?" she suggested. "Anyone who might possibly be interested in any kind of spa- or hair treatment move to one of the safe rooms so that we can get all the answers and information we need or want?" she asked.

Claudia looked over at Sam, who may or may not help her. Then April came to the rescue. "Yes, please. I'm trying to do what Sam said to do and not to do, and I must be getting it way wrong. Talk in person and not email, that part's right. But wouldn't telling everyone the where pose a risk? And I know how many manicurists there are, but again shouldn't that just be for the people interested, because it includes potential security information? Maybe I'm going overboard?"

"Only if you don't trust the people here," Sam answered. "That's your decision and not mine, but you'll find that Savannah is right. You're never going to get anyone to agree to anything without information."

Clumsy yes, but at least she was trying, and he knew that Savannah's questions were her way to help after planning a great trips through the year on this base, "April's solution is a good one. If you need anything else, I'll be around later."
