Re: Savannah/Marty
This was why she loved him so much. No matter how bad she felt, he could make her laugh. It never felt like he was dismissing her concerns, but always that he was trying to make her smile, which he did successfully. "Well, if we must, but only because the season is over," she said, chuckling. "Should we pick up something else? Baseball is starting and I'm sure I'd look cute in one of those uniforms, except... I can't play. Unless we're going for the summer Olympics, in which case we have to pick a specialty."
Savannah rolled her eyes. "It's a birthday. Gifts are supposed to be a surprise. I can't just ask him. That would ruin the point of getting a gift. It's not like he can't go and buy what we buy him. The point is to show that we care enough to buy things for him." She sighed. "Haven't you ever bought gifts before? What did you do at home?" She waved a hand. "Oh never mind, I should know better than to ask you about gifts at home." With what she knew of their lives, she was willing to bet that gifts were rare. "Let's go dance."
