Neal refrained from saying that the only person he trusted here was Peter. The others weren't bad but really, having a fellow conman who liked the good things in life would have made it much easier to relate. Neal could get on with people, being charming was one of his many skills, but it was exhausting doing it 24/7.
At Peter's words, he followed Peter's eye line and chuckled. "I think he'll be happy he managed to find somebody who's not a breeder - His words," Neal shook his head and smiled. "I know we should be here. I just wish here involved some fine wine and food, a museum or two. Why can't it be a big more... High-level?"
