RP: April and Nell
Who:April and Nell
Where: The hall of their wing
When: August 18
Summary: April wants to talk to Nell

Being woken by Nell's screams the other night had reminded April of Jackson's nightmares back home. She wondered if he was getting better or if she was still having them - and still pretending he didn't. It had also made her decide to talk to Nell, after giving her some distance and time. Today she figured was as good time as any, and since Nell wasn't someone you could ever find alone, she approached her in the common room.

"Hi, Nell," she asked. "Could I have a word with you alone?" she asked, hoping she'd agree.

"Simple and classy. So, nothing Muley Hassan inspired. Got it." It was better than nothing, if a little vague. But, Nell could work with it. "Okay, I can manage to come up with something by tomorrow. No problem. You said their were two things?"

"Thank you," she said. She did feel a bit responsible for Nate. He was Eliot's family and by extension therefore a part of her own. She didn't know him all that well and there were things about him that made her hesitate at times, but he was important to Eliot and in the end that was all she needed to know.

She nodded when Nell asked about the other thing. "I wanted to check up on you," she said. "After the other night." She looked out over the grounds, then back at Nell.

"I know what it's like waking up from a nightmare and realizing you've woken people up. After the attack, I had constant nightmares, when I could sleep at all. It got better, but then Kensi died, and that night I woke up screaming with both Nick and Eliot at full alert in my room."

"I suppose all I wanted to say was that if you ever feel that you want to talk to someone other than your friends, then I'm here and more than willing to listen."

Nell had known it was too good to be true to think she'd get away with no one commenting on what had happened the other night. But, she also had no intentions of sharing.

"The other night? You mean my bad dream?" Nell shrugged. "I had a bad dream. People get them occasionally. Okay, so most people don't turn themselves into a mummy," she added with a laugh. "But, I'm a restless sleeper. Just ask Troy or Sean. Even on a good night I sleep like a dog, always kicking. But, thanks, though. I appreciate the offer even if it's unnecessary."

"As long as you're okay," April said, hoping for Nell's sake that she was telling the truth and it really was just a bad dream. Maybe she was too influenced by her memories of Jackson pretending everything was fine when they weren't and now she was reading too much into things? Or maybe she wasn't and Nell just didn't want to talk but if that was the case that was still her prerogative.

"You're welcome, it was an easy offer to make." She smiled.
