"Then where-" She shook her head and sat down, deciding that listening to Tim for once might be better than trying to figure things out on her own with this headache. She saw a bottle of water on the table and reached for it, opening it and drinking some as he talked and tried to explain what was going on.
It made sense- Well, it made his leaving without saying anything make more sense. It had hurt to have him take off so soon after they'd been on good terms without saying a word to her. But it sounded crazy. Too crazy to be real and she was pretty sure her face showed her skepticism.
"Okay, I didn't hit my head that hard. You came to another dimension, work for a government agency and live in New York now? Is that what you're tryin' to tell me?" she asked before groaning. "Tim, don't be a jackass, this isn't funny. I didn't hit my head that hard and you're making no sense at all."
