She couldn't say anything to argue that. Waiting around wasn't going to help Savannah, but she didn't think giving up on things were the right way to go either.

"You're not too old," she said instead. "If you live until you're in your eighties or more, what does it matter if you met the man of your dreams at 21 or 31? You can still make a life together, create a home. It's not less of a marriage because it starts later. It might not be exactly what you planned, and I'm not saying sit around and wait and do nothing of your life, just that you shouldn't see the dream as over just because it can't happen now. Things change, who know what will change next?"
