Summary: the wedding

Savannah had spent the night at G, just like she had planned, and it didn't matter that they had until the afternoon to get ready, she was still up at the crack of dawn. Luckily for her, it wasn't like anyone in this house slept. Well, Sean did, but he was outnumbered. Even Brian stopped by early (although she wasn't sure if he had gone to sleep yet. He'd better or she'd kill him). He reassured that everything was fine, that he had everything under control. Even the weather seemed to be cooperating. After days of rain, the sun was out and it was already 71 degrees, a lot warmer than it ha been for days, and the high would be a perfect 80 degrees.

She did her hair, opting to pull it up so that it wouldn't interfere with the veil. The make up she kept simple as well. Finally, it was time to get married.

"You know, I think you're speaking English, but you've pretty much lost me at rival," she said, laughing, because today nothing would change her mood, not even Eliot's strange way of speaking.

She stilled for a moment, and she probably shouldn't pry, but she'd never been one to keep people at a distance. "Are you all right with Mike and April? Is there anything that we can do?"

"Westin's still alive, ain't he?" Eliot joked - sort of - in response. "April's been overly helpful, but that's the type of woman she is and it'd be wrong to beat her off with the cane she got for me."

He took another drink, then turned the glass in his hand, pondering her bone structure (literally). "I don't know what's going to happen next, after I'm better at getting around without banging into things. I can still fight, which is what I'm good at anyway, but everything else..."

He didn't like to think about it, choosing to take each day at a time with this change. The number of things he might not be able to do again was high and depressing if he dwelled on it. His smile got a bit forced but he was honest in his response. "When you get back, ask again. Right now, this is your day, Cinderella. What is it you wish?"

It took Savannah a moment to understand what he meant, and then she rolled her eyes. "Eliot Spencer, you are terrible. Mike is a sweet man," she said, before laughing. "Oh, poor April. She's a sweetheart, and she's very kind."

She shook her head. "Don't say that. You're not just good at fighting. You're a person, and like all of us, you have many qualities to share. You just... need to learn to trust others, and I know it's not easy. You aren't the first one here with issues, but whether people want to or not, we are a crazy family and we must stick together, helping each other."

Savannah didn't have to be told twice. She would ask. "You'll have to deal with me when I come back. You got off easy because I was planning a wedding, but when I come back, the two of us will spend quality time together." She leaned over and kissed his cheek. "You'll be fine, because you have us, and because I won't allow anything less." She grinned. "I got my wish. You know when we first met, Marty told me that he wasn't the relationship type, he'd never get married, and I knew, even then that we'd be together. It took me a few months more than I expected, but I got my wish." Now she could work on the rest of the family, but that would have to wait at least a month.

	Eliot's smile turned more genuine, teasing. "I'll definitely have to practice protecting myself with the cane, if I have two of you ganging up on me." He reached out and carefully flicked her under the chin. He'd wanted to tap her nose but he couldn't see it. "Go and find your Prince. I'm sure he's wondering where you're hiding." 	"Sorry, but you really have no hope to keep us away. We're very stubborn," she said, laughing. Savannah nodded. "I will. Enjoy the rest of the evening, Eliot." She kissed his cheek again, before getting up and moving on, making a note to check with him when they got back. (Reply to this) (Parent)
