Eliot stayed at the table, drinking and listening to the conversations around him. The sunglasses he wore to hide his eyes probably didn't go well with his dress suit, but he hadn't picked out either and couldn't see if he looked decent anyway.
It had been a tough week and, actually, he was glad for the wedding to take his mind off things. He'd heard how great Savannah had looked, how happy she seemed, and was glad for her. This world sucked ass, as did the ICIS, and it was nice that something normal and joyous could happen still.
He'd had Parker put his gift with the others, thankful that he'd gotten it early. He'd been to his share of weddings. He'd stopped believing in love a long time ago, but he did know the importance and significance of marriage.
